How Does Europe Decide—The Existential Challenges Facing the EU
(Abstract)

The European Union faces existential challenges in the current complex international situation. The EU faces many dilemmas in terms of technological revolution, economic growth, green transformation and geopolitics, such as industrial stagnation, lack of innovation and energy dependence. To cope with the challenges, the EU needs to deepen integration reform, strengthen investment and innovation, promote green transformation, and formulate a comprehensive strategy towards China to achieve sustainable development and strategic autonomy. China-EU co-operation is of great significance to global affairs, and Greece has an active role to play in China-EU relations.
