The Innovative Logic of the Cultural Subjectivity of the Chinese Nation in the New Era
(Abstract)
Han Qingxiang
Modernization was initiated in modern Europe. Since the founding of the Communist Party of China in 1921, China has shifted from a stance of “passive defensive response” to one of “proactive handling.” This shift has led to major, comprehensive achievements—namely, the creation and expansion of Chinese modernization—which has offered a new option for global modernization. The theoretical structure of Chinese modernization, Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and 21st-century Marxism have all emerged and taken shape through the practical course of Chinese modernization, and they serve to establish and reinforce the cultural subjectivity of the Chinese nation at the theoretical level. Xi Jinping Thought on Culture, which is based on Chinese modernization and the “Two Integrations,” especially the “Second Integration,” is most directly, clearly, and prominently aimed at fundamentally consolidating the cultural subjectivity of the Chinese nation.
