The essence of the economy is to promote the health and prosperity of all life, including human beings. All the ecological crises have proved that the former anthropocentric economics, characterized mainly by exploiting the nature, has come to an end. And the currency cannot be pondered as true wealth, instead, only the health of life is of the highest value. Ecological economics, with Whiteheadian philosophy as its theoretical foundation, surpasses all former economics and provides a value guide for a community with a shared future of all humanity in building an ecological civilization. Ecological economics, based on natural provisions, follows the life rules, cherishes all species, and it is featured by being local, relational and interactive. The purpose of the ecological economics is to promote the overall health of the earth’s ecology and to protect, restore and re-stabilize the ecosystem of the entire ecosphere.
